Jason T. Liss
Worshipful Master, 2024

Bro. Jason Liss has been a Master Mason at John W. Barkley Lodge #621 since March 17th, 2017 through a Grand Master's One Day Class.  In 2018, WB Brad Smith appointed Jason to the position of Senior Steward. Additionally, Worshipful Brother Smith entrusted Jason to speak during the LEO program.  Prior to this, Jason was not a public speaker; in fact, he did everything he could to avoid public speaking.

Worshipful Brothers Scott Clark and Michael Columbro have also helped and supported Jason throughout his Masonic Career.  Jason has proven himself in the officer line.  The Past Masters and Brethren of the Lodge support him with encouragement.

Since moving into the Officer line, Jason has joined the Scottish Rite and Covenant-Thatcher.  Jason participates in degree work for both these bodies.  Jason enjoys the camaraderie that comes from being a Mason, there is always someone to support you or lend a helping hand.  Jason is looking forward to the challenges and gifts that each new role within the line brings him and can't wait until it's his turn to lead the fine men as WB of John. W. Barkley Lodge #621.

Jason's family has also been very supportive of his journey as a Free Mason. To this day if you ask his wife Dana, she will say she was against it in the beginning.  With a young family at home, she could not see how more time spent away from home could be a good thing but, she reluctantly agreed.  Five years later, she will happily admit she was wrong for the 2nd time EVER!  She has found her own family within the bounds of this amazing lodge and brotherhood.  Both of Jason's boys love to spend time at lodge events and they look forward to the day they get to become a Mason just like their dad.

David Folk
Senior Warden

Dave grew up in Akron, Ohio and currently lives in Medina, Ohio. In 1973, he joined Ohio Edison (FirstEnergy) in Akron, then advanced his career many times until he retired in 2011. While working for the company in Youngstown, several of his coworkers were Masons and were instrumental in his joining Meander Lodge #765 in May 1985. Two years later, he was transferred to another location, but he found it difficult to attend lodge regularly due to his work schedule and family commitments. In 2018, he was invited to the Annual Outdoor Degree of John W. Barkley Lodge #621 where he met many fine men. That fall, he transferred his membership to this lodge and joined the officer line in an effort to give back to the organization, grow personally and spiritually, and support community organizations.

Dave has been married to Peggy for 43 years. They have three grown children: Gina, Melissa (Scott), and Jeremy. Their children have blessed them with eight wonderfully talented grandchildren: Jared, Adam, Jacob, Gabriel, Kara, Natalie, Kelsie, and Kacie.
